AN: Based on real events. Yes, I have weird friends. And it's another Rikkaidai fic. Seigaku will always be my favourite team, but because they got the most character development in canon, writing about the other teams is way more fun.
It was perhaps the warmest day of the summer season yet, but that wasn't going to stop Rikkaidai's tennis team from practicing. If anything, it made them practice harder, especially with the ever-looming Nationals above their heads.
"I'm exhausted!" said Marui, as they all trooped into the changing rooms, practically dripping with sweat at 6pm, after three hours of intense practise.
"You barely played at all, Marui-senpai." said Kirihara, accusingly, from where he was wringing out his hair onto the changing room floors. "You were drilling the non-regulars for the first two hours, then you were against the machines."

PoT: Rikkaidai's Lack of CoachRikkaidai's Lack of a Coach
Sanada wondered some days, whether Rikkaidai's tennis team needed a coach. Many of the other schools in the region had coaches, such as Seigaku, Hyotei, Rokkaku and Yamabuki, but Rikkaidai was one of few schools who conspicuously lacked one.
He had to admit, maybe it would be in their best interests to get one. With Yukimura in hospital, Sanada was in charge of all 50 Rikkaidai members, regular and not. As it was, it was difficult enough to keep the Regulars out of trouble, let alone the non-regulars.
Sanada crossed his arms over his chest from where he was sitting on the bench sidelines, watching everyone train inside the gym. He was constantly alert and couldn't let himself get distracted at all. In fact, he barely ever trained himself at school, when it came to tennis, because he was so busy making sure that everyone was actually doing what they're supposed to.
He could only be grateful that some members of his team were actually obedient

PoT: Rokkaku, Tennis and FujiRokkaku, Tennis and Fuji
You close your eyes a little as the warm, evening sun beats down upon your face. Your team have just finished their intensive beach practice and your arms are sore and aching. You wish some days, that you didn't live in an area that was quite so sunny; then you remember that England exists; a beach that is perpetually freezing, and all thought of hating the sun is wiped from your memories.
Your team are chattering away, Kentaro-kun talking eagerly with Satoshi and Ryou near the front, Itsuki watching his surroundings with barely hidden curiousity, Bane beating up Davide… all very usual for Rokkaku Chuu.
You smile a little. You love Chiba and you love your school. Playing here has been your dream since being a child and actually being the Vice-Captain of this team, is something you didn't think that you would ever reach. You want nothing more than to reach the Nationals currently, and it certainly looks like it will end up being that way.

"Sayu, come out! Please, I just want to know what's wrong!" yelled Linda as she banged on the door of their bedroom.
"Please, Linda, just leave me be." said Sayu, wiping away the errant tears as she folded her clothes into her suitcase. It was already hard enough to leave the best experience of her life, but she wasn't staying any longer, if it wasn't her place.

Light's replacement shinigami... WIPby ~Arysthae-niru

So, this came from a conversation I had with

about Kuroshitsuji and Light and shinigami in general. We came up with a pretty crack-filled idea; what if Light's shinigami had been Grell instead of Ryuk?

I think that Light would have been traumatised pretty easily by her/him being around on a daily basis and would probably have killed off Grell the same way he did Rem, but Vala doesn't believe the same.

Dialogue (in case my handwriting is atrocious)
Grell: Come here Light, and give me lots of kisses, you dastardly little human!
Light: *Grell...you're worse than Misa...*

Anyway, if this would ever occur, it's probably after the camera have been installed, where Light really can't react to anything (which was how I drew it). However, I then realized, Light had no idea who Misa was at that point. Anyway, the gag was too funny to pass up.

I had the most fun drawing Grell's pose. It's taken from the manga scene, Chapter 59, where everyone does the Phoenix position on the Campania. It's edited a little, because Grell was most definitely not as happy to be posing there, but I like this version!

(This was drawn entirely to Lacrimosa, the ending song for Kuroshitsuji. Second season? What are you on about? There was a second season?)

I love Grell's pose and you've captured Light's reaction very well! I'm sure that's what he would think if this event was happening in the original story. XD He'd probably be shocked to realize that someone can annoy him more than Misa does. XD

Haha, Light was the most difficult to draw because I didn't want his reaction to be of surprise, merely simmering fury of having to put up with this 24/7. And yeah, I think Light would snap and go crazy long before the time he does in canon with Grell as a shinigami XD
